The Chicago Cubs are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the opening of Wrigley Field with a variety of festivities today, but the most impressive is the 400-pound birthday cake on display outside the stadium.

The four-by-five-foot cake, which was made by Carlo's Bakery of Cake Boss fame, will be outside the stadium for today's centennial celebration before heading across town for the team's annual Bricks and Ivy Charity Ball.

The first 30,000 fans at today's game will receive Chi-Feds replica jerseys, and the first 10,000 fans get birthday cupcakes.

Hopefully the faithful Cubs fans will be too distracted by all the frosting to notice that the money may have been better spent on an outfielder who can hit.
