Seattle TV Station Refuses to Call OKC Thunder by Name
It's been six years, but Seattle TV station KIRO 7 still hasn't gotten over the SuperSonics' move to Oklahoma City to become the Thunder. In protest of this fait accompli, they've resolved never to say the words "Oklahoma City Thunder," and instead are only referring to the team as the Former SuperSonics.

According to KIRO 7's Facebook page, "The former Seattle SuperSonics are in the NBA playoffs. Throughout their run, KIRO 7 promises you we won’t say OKC or their team name in our newscasts."
Look, I get it, Seattle. Breakups are always hard. But you need to move on. Show the Thunder that you don't need them anymore. When you bump into the Thunder at the supermarket, you don't want to come off as desperate and clingy, you know? So get out there, take some classes, maybe finish your novel. And then, when the time is right, a new basketball team will come into your life, and you two can ride off into the sunset together.
