Carlos Gomez Apparently Googles Rich-People Conversations So He Can Make Smalltalk with Wealthy People

Sports Illustrated published a long feature about Carlos Gomez in the magazine this week, and it seems that one snippet in particular -- an anecdote about Gomez told by teammate Ryan Braun -- caught the Internet's eye:

[Braun] says that recently Gomez informed him, while holding a plate full of kiwi, that the fruit had three times as much potassium as bananas. "I asked him how he heard it," Braun says. "He told me, now that he's wealthy, he's been Googling rich-people conversation so he know what to talk to wealthy people about, and he came across that data."

Gomez, a native of the Dominican Republic, signed a 3-year, $24 million contract with the Brewers prior to the 2013 season, so it's probably not surprising that he's running in some ritzy circles these days. But it seems that Braun has now completely ruined Gomez' (honestly pretty brilliant, I have no idea what rich people talk about either) strategy by leaking this story.

Now if Gomez wants to google "rich people conversations," the only thing he'll get to read about is himself:

Fortunately, the Google search results for "What do rich people talk about?" have been left untainted:
