The NBA has long been in the branded apparel game, making everything to jerseys to socks, but they have finally made the jump into the piece of gear most associated with their game, sneakers.
The league announced it would be releasing 1,946 pairs of the star-spangled shoes to celebrate the NBA's 1946 founding, and will go on sale at various NBA Stores throughout the world and NBAstore.com with a suggested retail price of $119.
Maybe Donald Sterling will use some of his recent $2 billion payday and purchase the Adam Silver autographed pair that are scheduled to go up for auction on June 6.
