Vanderbilt pitcher Brian Miller won the College World Series Wednesday night, but had much more reason to celebrate after proposing to his girlfriend.

Sure, winning the College World Series is great. But what could make it even better? Proposing to your girlfriend on the field after the decisive Game 3.

Vanderbilt won its first baseball national title Wednesday night, defeating Virginia 3-2 in Omaha. Afterward, Commodore pitcher Brian Miller got down on one knee and popped the question.

Spoiler alert: she said yes.

Miller didn’t pitch in the game, but who would’ve thought that winning the College World Series would be the second most exciting event of his night?
