The word "genius" gets thrown around a lot these days, so much so that the it has almost been rendered meaningless. But when considering this week's top concession item, I feel that no other word can possibly suffice. The Baco is a work of pure and utter genius, and I'd be remiss if I did not award it the highest honor possible for a concession food item. This item came to fruition after a winning an online vote amongst fans of the West Michigan Whitecaps, which should fully restore your faith in the democratic process.

WHAT DO THEY CALL THIS WITCHCRAFT?: The Baco.

WHAT COMPRISES SUCH A THING?: Bacon taco shell stuffed with lettuce, tomato, croutons and mayonnaise.

WAIT, SERIOUSLY?: Yes.

WHO HATH WROUGHT THIS MONSTROSITY: The West Michigan White Caps, the Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.

HOW MANY CALORIES WE TALKIN’?: A lot. It's a taco made out of bacon.

AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?: $7.50 IS IT VEGAN?: What? No.
