The NBA has an obscure policy that requires a player who changes jersey numbers to buy all remaining unsold jerseys on the market -- unless said player applies for the change before a specific deadline. But even though Paul George met that deadline when he applied for the jersey number change from 24 to 13 (all so he can use a rather silly nickname), he decided to buy up all his old jerseys anyway, so he can donate them to his alma mater, Knight High School in Palmdale, California.
