Exiled New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is using some of his abundant free time to make some new business connections and maybe even look for a new job on the popular networking site LinkedIn.

Kenny Hill's parents are trademarking the 'Kenny Trill' nickname

According to The Wall Street Journal's Brian Costa, people began receiving the website's ubiquitous e-mail invites from Rodriguez last week, with a profile that listed him as the "Founder, CEO and President of ARod Corp." Costa reports:

A LinkedIn spokeswoman said the company has not been in touch with Rodriguez's camp to confirm it is an official page but said, "All signals indicate it is a real profile." Rodriguez's spokesman didn't respond to multiple requests for comment.

Rodriguez hasn't been all business during his season-long suspension, heading to South Bend, Ind., to take in the Michigan-Notre Dame game last weekend.
