Liverpool fan Betty Musker will turn 104 on Oct. 24, and she mentioned to her caretakers that all she wanted for her birthday was "just a nice card," as she has enjoyed making and sending them all her life. Her fellow fans have responded in droves.

The staff at her nursing home launched a Facebook campaign titled "For the love of Betty Musker," which has taken off with over 16,000 likes and over 4,000 cards arriving already, with nearly 200 more coming each day.

One of the workers at the home told the Liverpool Echo that Musker can't get enough of her favorite team.

[S]he’s Reds mad. She watches every game, she even watched the whole World Cup. She’s football crazy. She’s a lovely, lovely lady, and she loves her hometown of Liverpool.”

Musker has received cards all the way from Singapore, and there is still plenty of time to send more by checking out the Facebook page.
