A Seattle area news station made one of the best photo mistakes in recent history after Peyton Manning broke the all-time passing touchdowns record on Sunday, accidentally putting up a photo of longtime Supersonics point guard Gary Payton.

A Seattle area news station made one of the best photo mistakes in recent history after Peyton Manning broke the all-time passing touchdowns record on Sunday, accidentally putting up a photo of longtime SuperSonics point guard Gary Payton.

Still hurting from the Broncos Super Bowl loss to the Seahawks, a Denver station was all too happy to publicize the photo error.

There's no word yet on how the mistake was made (whether it was intentional or not) and no news on if there has been any fallout beyond the bad publicity. 

As far as tv station trolling goes, it ranks right up there with the summer salvo between Detroit and Tampa affiliates after David Price was traded from the Marlins to the Tigers.
