Judd Apatow producing comedy about female football fans

Judd Apatow, producer of many of the most successful comedy movies of the past ten years, will turn to football for his next project. The Hollywood Reporter calls the still untitled film a "female-driven ensemble comedy set in the world of obsessive female football fans."

According to THR, actress Laura Dern came up with the idea and approached Apatow. They took the concept to longtime South Park writer Pam Brady, who wrote the script. Brady also wrote the script for Team America: World Police.
