A new video provides a rare look at Kobe Bryant as a high school basketball star, leading his teammates at Lower Merion to a playoff victory against Norristown as they moved towards a state title in 1996.
Unsurprisingly, Bryant dominates the other players on the floor. Just months after the game was played, Bryant was selected with the No. 13 pick in the NBA draft.
Lower Merion would go on to win the state AAAA championship that season, led by Bryant's 30.8 points and 12 rebounds a game.
The game tape may be useful to his current Los Angeles Lakers teammates for its display of the "give the ball to Kobe" offense.
