People Magazine has unveiled its annual "Sexiest Men Alive" issue and Heisman winner and current SEC Network broadcaster Tim Tebow made the list.

While the top honors went to movie star Chris Hemsworth, Tim Tebow and fellow football-player-turned-broadcaster Michael Strahan both earned honorable mentions.

Minnesota's ice cream coach explains himself

Tebow sounded surprised by the honor when talking to the magazine.

"I don't go through life trying to be sexy; I go through life trying to help others," the sports broadcaster, 27, tells PEOPLE. "It sort of hits me out of the blue when I find out that anyone finds me attractive. I mean, it's a great compliment, but I'm just trying to do the right things and live my life in the right way. I want to be noticed for the right reasons."

Strahan is scheduled to show off what got him on the 2014 list in the upcoming sequel to Channing Tatum's male stripper opus Magic Mike.
