Mavericks follow Celtics' Rajon Rondo on Twitter

The Dallas Mavericks are currently believed to be among the front runners of teams looking to acquire Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics, and it looks like they are doing as much research as they can on the point guard as they recently followed him on Twitter.

The Dallas Mavericks are reported to be among teams looking to acquire Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics in a trade, and it looks like the team is doing as much research as it can on the point guard, recently joining his followers on Twitter.

Before anyone reads too deeply into the move, the Mavs also recently followed former Rondo teammate and current Wizards forward Paul Pierce and retired All-Star Tracy McGrady. It doesn't seem likely Dallas will be adding either of them to the roster soon.

The deal being discussed between Dallas and Boston would involve shipping Rondo, whose contract expires this summer, to the Mavericks in exchange for multiple picks and center Brandan Wright, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
