The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Curry has a standing bet with his mother for $100 for each turnover above three that the point guard has in each game.

The bet is cashed in at the end of the year, although instead of a sack of cash, Curry's mother generally has her son purchase her shoes and handbags, a penalty Curry keeps in mind during each and every game.

“It keeps me on the edge every game,” he said. “I know she’s going to text me or have some witty one-liner about what she’s going to buy with all of my gifts.”

Curry is averaging 3.2 turnovers a game, meaning his mom's closet may be a little leaner than past years once the season comes to a close.
