Sam's video is one of four online-only videos made by the company, in addition to a 60-second #MakeItHappy commercial Coca-Cola will air during the Super Bowl. The campaign seeks to spread happiness on the Internet and on social media and turn negative experiences into positive ones.

"Social media kind of had to be a big role in my life because I'm in the spotlight," Sam says. "I see negativity daily. I've gotten nasty tweets, Instagram messages, people have sent me YouTube videos that said how they hate me, how they wish I was dead ... All the negativity that comes to me, I channel that into positivity."

Footage of Sam giving his speech at the 2014 ESPY awards and with his fiancé, Vito Cammisano, is also used.
