The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is spending the week in Los Angeles and on Wednesday night the show got a visit from Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, who stopped by to reminisce about spending some time with the host before they were big names.

The then struggling comedian and rookie were at a party together and got sent on a beer run in sprawling Los Angeles, and eventually Kobe had to invoke his powers as a Laker to get some drinks to bring back to the house.

Bryant and Fallon have both come a long way since then, and it it is hard to imagine Kobe has to pull out an ID to prove he is on the Lakers too often these days.
