Kanye West spoke with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday about his controversial post-Grammy comments in which he said that Album of the Year winner Beck should give his award to Beyoncé.

West apologized for his remarks, saying he should have chosen his words more wisely, and then used a sports analogy comparing his friend Beyoncè to Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.

"The Grammys are artists’ Super Bowl, and somebody’s gotta be mad that Marshawn didn’t get the ball.”

In this analogy, Beast Mode is the football equivalent of Sasha Fierce.
