Eighth grade team loses when game-winning attempt gets stuck on rim

An eighth grade team lost after the would-be game-winning layup got stuck on the rim.

The unpredictability of sports is part of the wide appeal they have, however sometimes that unpredictability has a price.

In a recent Kansas Mid-East League Eighth Grade Basketball League tournament game, the Riley County Falcons were leading the Rock Creek Mustangs, 26-25, with only seconds left in the game.

The Mustangs had a chance to come away with the game-winner, but a layup attempt bounced off the backboard before getting stuck on the rim as time expired.

Just brutal.

As you can see from the little kid sprawled out on the court, this was a tough one to lose.
