Julian Edelman changes social media profile pictures to Tom Brady's jersey
In an apparent show of support for his teammate following Wednesday's release of the Wells report on the "Deflategate" scandal, New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman changed his profile photos on various social media platforms to Tom Brady's jersey.
The Wells report determined that the Patriots likely manipulated photos to Brady's benefit and that it is probable Brady "was at least generally aware of... the release of air from Patriots game balls."
Edelman has played six seasons for the Patriots, all of them with Brady as his quarterback. He has 266 career receptions for 2,742 yards and 14 touchdowns. In 2014, the former seventh-round pick caught 92 passes for 972 yards.
