Chicago, Anaheim mayors bet beer, condiments on Ducks–Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks got the NHL's conference championship round underway on Sunday and the team's hometown mayors are offering up a bounty of local treats in a bet.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks started their conference championship round on Sunday, and the team's hometown mayors are offering up a bounty of local treats in a friendly bet.

The Associated Press reports Chicago's Rahm Emanuel is offering up beer from the city's Slap Shot Brewing Co., a barrel of Garrett's Popcorn, and the Vienna Beef hot dog company's signature green relish, in addition to a donation to the Becoming A Man charity.

Anaheim's Tom Tait has matched Emanuel's wager by offering up local beer, a case Anaheim Chiles, and a contribution to ACT Anaheim, which supports youth charities throughout the community.

Emanuel said he had "absolute confidence" in the Blackhawks, but they failed to back the mayor up in Game 1 as the Ducks won 4–1 in the series opener.
