Queen of England unable to help Arsenal fan score FA Cup tickets

The fan's request was noted, but even the Queen couldn't get an extra ticket to Wembley.

An Arsenal supporter desperate for FA Cup final tickets turned to the ultimate British authority for help: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The fan, Charlie Pearce, sent a letter in early May to Buckingham Palace relaying his excitement that his favorite team, Arsenal, would be playing in the FA Cup Final. The Gunners will meet Aston Villa on May 30 at Wembley Stadium in London.

The purpose of Charlie's letter wasn't just to exchange pleasantries and talk soccer, however. He also had a request: Two tickets to the game for him and a friend.

Unfortunately, Her Majesty couldn't come through on the tickets. Perhaps the queen was priced out, or maybe she didn't want to support an Arsenal fan: Her grandson Prince William is a massive Aston Villa supporter.
