Landon Donovan has perfect response to troll during USMNT comeback win

Landon Donovan had a great response Friday to a Twitter troll who spoke up too soon during the U.S. men’s national team’s comeback win over the Netherlands.

The U.S. overcame a 3–1 deficit with a flurry of late goals during the friendly match in Amsterdam. For a while, however, things looked dire for USMNT.

Donovan was not tweeting during the game until one Twitter user tweeted a screenshot at him of the scoreboard in the 68th minute, which read, “NED 3, USA 1.” The tweet was also accompanied by four “tears of laughter” emoji, which could’ve been what pushed Donovan over the edge.

Once John Brooks, Danny Williams and Bobby Wood cemented the come-from-behind victory, Donovan was free to let loose.

Well played, Landon. Well played.
