Celebrating Sneaker History

It seems like there's never been a better time to be a sneakerhead. Jordan Brand released images of its Spring 2016 Legacy Collections on Wednesday, which honors some of Michael Jordan's greatest moments in some of Jordan Brand's most iconic silhouettes. Nike also announced that it will auction off 11 incredibly awesome pairs of "What The Doernbecher" Nike Dunks on eBay starting on June 11. Like the rest of the Doernbecher line, all proceeds from the sales of the extremely limited sneakers will go to the Doernbecher Children's Hospital. And if you're really into sneaker history, the folks at Nice Kicks recently put together a ridiculously comprehensive 11-chapter oral history of the collective rise of Allen Iverson and Reebok Basketball, detailing the two decade-long partnership and ride. A must read for hoops fans and sneaker historians alike.

Game of Zones

Bleacher Report has released its 4th episode of "Game of Zones" and it doesn't disappoint. In this edition, an often-injured star receives life-changing advice, a father and son share a special moment and an overlooked star gets real.

Tony Gonzalez Documentary Is Coming

Although it premiered a few months back at the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, Play It Forward, a documentary that explores the relationship between all-time great tight end Tony Gonazlez and his older brother, Chris, will air on Showtime starting in the fall.

How the Cavs Beat The Knicks To Delly

Matthew Dellavedova may seem like an overnight sensation but several teams were interested in his services back when he was undrafted, including the New York Knicks. It cost the Cavs $100,000 to secure Dellavedova's services, which looks like a steal in hindsight.
