Another Reason to Dislike Brett Favre
Brett Favre was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame on Saturday as a reported 67,000 fans packed Lambeau Field to witness the ceremony. Like most Packers fans, I'm willing to forgive the constant retirement/unretirement shuffle that consumed Favre's final years in the league. But then I see that Favre charged $380 to pose for a photo and $400 to sign memorabilia and the good vibes go away. Maybe I'm naive but how greedy can you be? And why were there 10,000 stories (roughly) about Tom Brady getting paid $170,000 to speak at Salem State (which he donated to charity, by the way) but not one story about Favre's cash grab? Am I making this into too big a deal? Feel free to use the comments section below. I'm curious what you think.
Update (1:32 p.m.): Should've mentioned before but according to this website, a portion of the proceeds are going to the FAVRE4HOPE Foundation, though it's always shady when it just says "a portion of the proceeds" without specifying how much. But still warrants mentioning.
Two Developing Sports Feuds
Shaquille O'Neal and Scottie Pippen are duking it out (on social media) over which franchise has a better all-time starting lineup, the Lakers or Bulls. The best part is that Shaq put himself on the Lakers over Wilt Chamberlain. Not to be outdone, Mark Cuban called Donald Trump a "Paper Tiger" and refuted Trump's claims of being a billionaire.
Poor Corey Feldman
I'm a big Corey Feldman fan. I think Licensed to Drive (starring a young Heather Graham) is one of the most underrated movies ever. So it saddens me to not only see Feldman performing at a random minor league game in Pennsylvania, but also the team had to issue an apology for the performance afterwards.
