A New York Yankees fan accidentally hit Brett Gardner after throwing a home run ball back onto the field.
An enthusiastic New York Yankees fan took things a little bit too far Sunday.
After a fourth inning home run by the Toronto Blue Jays' Jose Bautista, a dedicated Yankees fan tried throwing the ball back onto the field.
However, the fan misjudged the throw, and somehow missed the field, instead catching the back of leftfielder Brett Gardner.
Gardner looks relatively calm for someone who was just hit with an object from the stands. You can check out the video here:
