Billy is a kind and caring sailfish though, and he was not simply trying to grab the souvenir off the bat of Miami leftfielder Christian Yelich for himself, but rather so he could bring the ball to a young fan.

The mascot did have some advantages over the other spectators going for the baseball though, as he has built in padding to protect himself on landings, as well as a natural weapon to ward off competitors with his pointy bill.
