Watch: Marcelo Huertas will beat the shot clock, no matter what

If at first you don’t succeed, and there’s one second to try again, you might as well try again.

During the second quarter of their 101–88 loss to the Heat, Lakers point guard Marcelo Huertas tossed up a comical three-point shot to try and beat the shot clock buzzer.

After he was blocked on his initial attempt, which came one-footed with around 2 1/2 seconds on the 24-second timer, Huertas grabbed the ball with his back turned and heaved it over his head towards the basket.

It didn’t make it there, sadly.

Nick Young and Kobe Bryant must be proud.
