Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls is currently out for the season with a broken ankle, but that doesn’t mean his fans can’t still see him.
On Christmas morning, a young fan named Sophie Ayers checked underneath the Christmas tree and discovered that Santa had delivered Rawls’s jersey. She was ecstatic.

Luckily for Sophie, her mother tagged Rawls in the post. He saw it, and decided to surprise her hours later.
“Thank you Sophie for helping me get out of my bed when I felt I had no energy,” Rawls wrote in his caption. “Your video gave me so much life and I’m truly grateful of the opportunity of meeting you!! Your tears of joy were astonishing. When holding you our bodies shook with nervousness, we both squeezed even harder and that feeling..is a feeling We'll never forget!! #MerryChristmas #MadeMyDay #PplWouldntUnderstand”
Sophie’s mother also documented the moment:
Had an amazing experience today! Thomas Rawls @caged_catalyst the video of Sophie opening up her jersey. He reached out to us and wanted to meet her. Such an amazing human being! He made her feel so special. One on one conversation, meeting Mama Rawls and Dominique, taking us to the VMAC, meeting/seeing many Seahawks and scoring a td on the practice field. Thomas is truly a one of kind! Thanks for making her Christmas! #seahawks

Santa Rawls certainly left Sophie with a moment she won’t ever let go of.
