Former Colts and Cardinals running back Edgerrin James did not have a storybook retirement from the NFL.
He played for the Seahawks in 2009, sat out all of the 2010 season and then announced his retirement in July 2011. Though James’s former Colts teammate Peyton Manning has a chance to go out on top after a Super Bowl win, the running back believes Manning should come back for one more season.
The reason why? It’s simple—James believes as long as a team is willing to pay Manning, he should keep playing.
You can’t really fault James’s logic here.
