Star athletes like LeBron James know that what you put in your body is just as important as the work you put in at the gym.

That’s why the Cleveland Cavaliers forward hasn’t eaten pork for the past seven years.

After initially refusing to part with the meat, James decided it was time to make the switch, and it’s apparently paid off.

“Oh, you can tell the difference,” James told cleveland.com. “It's in how I recover, the energy I have. It's helped a lot with my performance. Overall, I’ve just been feeling good.”

That’s right, you won’t find James scarfing down some bacon anytime soon. Instead, he mainly sticks to chicken and fish.

“It has worked for me,” James said. “It has been one of the best things I’ve decided to do for my career.”

Well, a life without pork sounds a heck of a lot better than that time James gave up sugar, dairy and carbs for 67 days straight.

And let's not forget that no diet will ever be less fun than Tom Brady’s.
