John Cena made his return to WWE Raw on Memorial Day after undergoing shoulder surgery in January.

Cena entered the ring wearing a shirt and hat with his “Never Give Up” catchphrase and was soon joined by AJ Styles. It looked for a second like Cena and Styles were about to have a tag team match against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, but then Styles did this:

Styles kept pummeling Cena until he was left crumpled on the mat.

Cena made a brief appearance at WrestleMania 32 in April, months ahead of his initial projected return date, teaming up with The Rock to fight The Wyatts. He was limited in the ring.

His return comes a little over a week after fellow injured superstar Seth Rollins came back to the injury-plagued pro wrestling outfit at the Extreme Rules PPV.
