Hurricanes Troll New Jersey With Epic Video After Eliminating Devils

On a night when NFL social media teams put out some of their best work of the year, the staff of the Carolina Hurricanes said ‘hold my beer.'

After earning a series-ending 3-2 overtime victory over the New Jersey Devils in Game 5 on Thursday night, the club posted perhaps the most epic troll video ever posted by a sports team.

Carolina earned their first trip to the Eastern Conference finals since 2019 and will now face either Florida or Toronto in the next round. The Panthers currently hold a commanding 3-1 series lead.

The Hurricanes, who knocked out the Devils from the postseason in just five games, posted a video capturing congratulatory words from various celebrities who call the Garden State home.

The club featured actor Vincent Curatola best known for his role as Johnny Sack in The Sopranos as well as his castmate Federico Castelluccio who played the role of Furio Giunta. In addition, Carolina also received messages of support from Jets superfan “Fireman Ed”, as well Michael Paul Sorrentino, better known as ‘The Situation’ from MTV’s show Jersey Shore, among others.

The viral video sent Twitter into an absolute frenzy anointing the epic video as the 'greatest sports troll job' in history among other amazing responses.
