NEW YORK (AP) Captain Serious won the $100,000 Hollie Hughes Stakes on Sunday, beating Crafty Dreamer by three-quarters of a length on a sloppy Aqueduct track.

The victory was the sixth for trainer Mike Hushion in the race for New York-bred older sprinters. I'm Stoked, also trained by Hushion, finished third after setting the pace. They were not coupled in the betting.

Jockey Jose Ortiz took charge on the turn and dug in for his fourth win in 10 starts despite drifting out in the deep stretch. The 4-year-old gelding ran the six furlongs in 1:10.70.

Captain Serious paid $5.30, $3.70 and $2.90 as the 8-5 favorite. Crafty Dreamer returned $11.40 and $5.20 while I'm Stoked paid $3.10 to show.
