NEW YORK (AP) A Lot, the 1-2 favorite, rolled to a 6 1/4-length victory Saturday in the $100,000 Paradise Creek Stakes for 3-year-olds on the turf at Belmont Park.

It was the first stakes victory for the colt trained by Bill Mott and ridden by John Velazquez.

And he made it look easy.

A Lot was perched second most of the race outside the pacesetting Bridget's Big Luvy. When Velazquez turned A Lot loose at the top of the stretch, it was over.

The time was 1:21.71 for seven furlongs on the firm course.

A Lot paid $3.10, $2.10 and $2.10 for his third win in seven starts.

Croninthebarbarian was the best of the rest, returning $2.70 and $2.50. Enjoy the Show paid $4.30 to show.
