The 2016 Preakness Stakes will be held on May 21 at 6:18 p.m. ET.

Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist comes into the race with a target on his back, currently favored at 5/7 odds. He is looking to become the 13th horse to win the Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes. He would also become just the second horse to win the Triple Crown in the year after another horse accomplished the feat. American Pharoah won the Triple Crown in 2015, the first horse to do so since Affirmed in 1978.

Exaggerator, who finished second at the Derby, is expected to be the top challenger, currently given 9/2 odds. Stradivari holds 12/1 odds while Gun Runner and Suddenbreakingnews each hold 14/1 odds with the race just five days away.
