Twins second baseman Brian Dozier has been named to the American League All-Star team as a replacement for injured Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista, MLB announced.

Bautista will be receiving treatment on shoulder injury that has hindered him since April over the break, and will not be able to play, although he is still invited to the game on Tuesday to be recognized as an All-Star, according to National Post's John Lott.

Dozier is batting .259 with 19 home runs for the Twins this season. This will mark the 28-year-old's first appearance in the All-Star Game.
