Josh Donaldson and Jose Bautista will return to the Toronto Blue Jays lineup for Game 2 of the American League Divisional Series after injury scares in the series opener on Thursday.

Donaldson’s head collided with Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor’s knee while breaking up a double play in the fourth inning. Donaldson left the game in the fifth to undergo concussion testing.

Bautista hit a solo homer off Keone Kela in the sixth inning, but left the game in the bottom of the eighth after doubling over in pain due to a cramp in his right hamstring.

Donaldson, who hit .297 with 41 home runs in the regular season, will bat second and play third base. He told reporters that he was “good to go” after taking batting practice and being re-evaluated on Friday morning.

Bautista will hit third and play right field. He finished the season with 40 home runs and a .250 batting average.

The Royals lead the series 1–0 after winning Thursday's game 5–3.
