The Chicago Cubs are postseason-bound for the second season in a row after clinching the NL Central title on Thursday night, becoming division winners for the first time since 2008.
The team had a hype video at the ready to get everyone excited about the Cubs trying to capture their first World Series title since 1908, and a familiar voice provided the narration.
Outfielder Kyle Schwarber, who played in just two games to start the season before being sidelined for the year with a torn ACL and LCL, was the voice of the video, calling on Cubs fans to "Fly the W."
"This is the fabric that brings an entire nation together," Schwarber says. "It says to the world, we will never lose faith. We believe in this team. Her generation. His generation. The next generation. And maybe this October, if we fly it high enough, and loud enough and proud enough, well, you get the idea."
The Cubs will begin the National League Division Series on Oct. 7 against the winner of the NL wild-card play-in game.
