The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Monday confirmed the full card for UFC 106 which takes place Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Eleven total bouts are official for the pay-per-view event, the promotion's fifth in Sin City this year.

In the main event, former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz returns to the Octagon after an 18-month absence to face former light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin, whom he defeated by split decision at UFC 59 in April 2006.

The bout was originally billed as a co-headliner but was moved to main event status when a heavyweight title fight pitting champion Brock Lesnar against challenger Shane Carwin was scrapped due to Lesnar's illness.

Ortiz's original opponent, former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman, was forced to withdraw from the bout with a knee injury.

UFC 106's co-main event features a welterweight bout between Josh Koscheck and Anthony Johnson. The standout welterweights were not on the card until a welterweight match-up between Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves fell apart when Alves injured his knee. Alves and Fitch are now scheduled for the main card of UFC 107.
