Your guide to the weekend, SIOC style.

NCAA Women's Soccer, No. 18 Georgia at No. 4 Florida State, 2 p.m.Last year, in the just the 10th season of the program's existence, FSU reached the NCAA title game. This season the team kicks off its quest to win its first title with an exhibition against up-and-coming Georgia.

Acoustic Communication by Animals Conference, Oregon State UniversityWant to know what your dog is trying to say to you? The final day of this enthralling conference could provide the answers. But most likely your dog simply wants better food.

In Theaters: Vicky Christina BarcelonaWhy in the world are college students filled with excitement for a late summer Woody Allen movie about vacationing tourists in Barcelona? The answer might have something to do with a little Scarlett Johansson-Penelope Cruz love scene.

Olympic Rowing: Men's Pair Final, 4:30 a.m.Harvard grads Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss are most well known for their lawsuit against Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg (they claim he stole the idea from their site ConnectU). This weekend the identical twins hope to make news another way -- by winning a gold medal. Still, by my calculations they would have to win over 40,000 gold medals to be worth as much as Zuckerberg.

Texas Football Fan Appreciation Day, Darrell K. Royal Stadium, 11 a.m.Not only do Longhorn fans get a chance to meet the team, but the first 2,800 in attendance will receive a free 2008 Texas Football Yearbook (I assume the poverty-stricken Longhorn football program can't afford to give away more). It's also a big college football weekend in other parts of the country. Vanderbilt will unveil its new uniforms at the Football Dore Jam and Tennessee's annual kickoff event will feature inflatable games.

The Hip Hop Leaders/Dovon "Poo Poo" Harris World Conference for Peace, UCLA, 6 p.m.Hip Hop Leaders is a non-profit aimed at helping at-risk youth pursue higher education through programs which combine hip hop with college prep classes.Akil, Arabian Prince, J Rock, Spinderella and Warren G are among the hip hop artists expected to attend the conference and lead discussions. Also, if conferences are your cup of tea, don't forget to stop by the 11th Annual Mars Society Conference at the University of Colorado. It's an important event if you hope to be living in a condo on Mars by 2058.
