Fraser-Pryce, Jeter to run 100 meters at Adidas Grand Prix

(AP) -- Reigning Olympic gold medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and world champion Carmelita Jeter will compete in the 100 meters at the Adidas Grand Prix meet on June 9.

The race could be a preview of what's in store at the London Games, since both are among the favorites in track's signature event. The 32-year-old Jeter is coming off one of her best seasons, which was punctuated by her win at worlds in Daegu, South Korea.

Kelly-Ann Baptiste of Trinidad and Tobago also will take part in the meet that's held on New York's Randall's Island.

World champion Yohan Blake of Jamaica will compete in the men's 100, while Jeremy Wariner, who's coming off a toe injury that sidelined him a good portion of last summer, tries to defend his 400 title.
