The Miami Heat are targeting free agent forward Josh McRoberts, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.

McRoberts averaged 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 78 games last for the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets), who reportedly have made keeping McRoberts a priority.

As SI.com's Ben Golliver pointed out, he is one of only three players 6-10 or taller to average at least four assists (along with Minnesota's Kevin Love and Chicago's Joakim Noah).

Miami's Big 3 of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh opted out of their contracts last month. With James calling for a maximum salary, and Bosh and Wade also seeking for lucrative deals, bringing all of them back to Miami while building a capable supporting cast is proving a challenge for Heat president Pat Riley.

The Heat fell to the Spurs in five games in the Finals.
