The NBA offered to drop a $25,000 tampering fine against the Toronto Raptors if the team agreed to strip rapper Drake of his title as "global ambassador," reports Cathal Kelly of the Globe and Mail

The league reportedly fined the Raptors $25,000 for comments Drake made about the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant at a concert last week. Toronto refused the offer, according to Kelly.

Drake was given the title last September, and the Raptors have since done things such as hold a Drake Night and use the rapper in a promotional video

Durant attended Drake's show on Aug. 4, during which the Toronto-born rapper hinted at recruiting last season's MVP to the Raptors, something the NBA considered a tampering violation given Drake's position in the organization.
