Report: Boris Diaw to play for France in FIBA World Cup

San Antonio Spurs forward Boris Diaw has been cleared to play for France in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, according to a report from Project Spurs

Diaw had to sit out France's previous exhibition games because of insurance issues surrounding the forward, who re-signed with the Spurs this offseason on a three-year, $22.5 million contract.

Team France technical director Patrick Beesleysaid the situation has been resolved

Diaw is the team's captain. Other NBA players on the French roster include Nicholas Batum, Evan Fournier, Rudy Gobert, Nando de Colo and Ian Mahinmi. Diaw's Spurs teammate Tony Parker is resting this summer and will not play for France.
