The Washington Wizards are interested in free-agent shooting guard Ray Allen, reports CSN Washington.
The team contacted Allen early in the free-agent process to gauge his interest, according to CSN.

The 39-year-old has not yet announced whether he intends to play a 19th NBA season. In August, he said he doesn't want to rush and instead wants to wait until September to see which team is the best situation for him.
Last week, it was reported that the Clippers, Spurs and Cavaliers are all also interested in Allen.

Allen spent the last two seasons with the Miami Heat. The 10-time All-Star averaged 9.6 points and 2.0 assists in 2013-14.
