The Chicago Bulls have reached out to free agent shooting guard Ray Allen's representatives, reports ESPN.com

It's been previously reported that the WizardsClippers, Spurs and Cavaliers are all also interested in the veteran.

According to ESPN, Allen's relationship with head coach Tom Thibodeau could be a selling point for Chicago. Thibodeau served as an assistant coach for the Celtics when Allen played there, including during Boston's 2008 championship run.

The 39-year-old has not yet announced whether he intends to play a 19th NBA season. In August, Allen said he doesn't want to rush and instead wants to wait until September to see which team is the best situation for him.

Allen spent the last two seasons with the Miami Heat. The 10-time All-Star averaged 9.6 points and 2.0 assists in 2013-14.
