The Washington Wizards announced that guard Bradley Beal will make his season debut Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks.

Beal has missed the first nine games of the season after suffering a non-displaced fracture of the scaphoid bone in his left wrist after he fell during an Oct. 12 preseason game against the Charlotte Hornets. He has gone through full practices the last two days.

Beal said Wednesday he will decide if he plays tonight and that he wasn’t sure if he will suit up. Beal said he will come off the bench when he makes his return to the lineup.

GOLLIVER: Five NBA outliers pulling off strange statistical feats

The Wizards have won seven of the nine games without Beal in the lineup. Garrett Temple has started each game at shooting guard in place of Beal and averaged 9.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 31 minutes a game.

Beal averaged 17.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 73 games last season.
