The Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday will sign former Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets small forward Jordan Hamilton to a 10-day contract according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Hamilton has averaged 18.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game this season for the Reno Bighorns in the NBA D-League.

Hamilton is shooting .441 from the field and .329 from three-point range for the Bighorns this season, and is averaging 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals and one block per game.

GOLLIVER: Preemptive strikes drive stir of action at NBA trade deadline

He was the 26th overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Texas and was dealt to Denver on a draft night deal. He averaged 6.7 points and 3.2 rebounds in 17 minutes a game last season, first for the Nuggets and then the Rockets, who acquired him at last year’s trade deadline for point guard Aaron Brooks.

Hamilton signed with Toronto over the summer as a free agent, but was cut in late October. He was then claimed by the Utah Jazz, but did not appear in a game before he was released on Nov. 6.
