Nikola Vucevic Finalizing Three-Year, $60 Million Extension With Bulls
Bulls center Nikola Vučević will stay in Chicago as the two parties are currently nearing a three-year, $60 million contract extension, the team announced on Wednesday.
Vučević was expected to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason if a deal was not met after his four-year contract, originally signed with the Magic, was coming to an end.

He is taking a slight pay cut with the new deal as his previous contract was four-years worth $100 million, making his annual salary $25 million a season.
The two-time All-Star was traded to the Bulls back near the tail end of the 2021 season after nine years with the Magic. He was drafted back in 2011 in the first round by the 76ers, but only played there for one season.
Vučević played in all 82 games last season, finishing with averages of 17.6 points, 11 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. The Bulls ended the season in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with a 40–42 record. They competed in the play-in tournament, but lost in the second game to the Heat, and failed to reach the playoffs.
